If another bark is detected within 30 seconds it emits a 2 second beep with an electrical impulse - weak or strong, as selected by the user. (No further impulses are emitted if no barking is detected for 30 seconds) Thus the dog associates this sensation with its barking and relates this to the fact it is wearing the collar.
